About Carousel

The Carousel story began with a desire to create a place where parents and children could find carefully selected products, with a focus on quality, creativity and usefulness. Since 2017, we have been developing a store for play, learning and meaningful family moments.

We started as a small shop on Mihai Eminescu Street, carrying European brands such as Djeco, Janod and Jellycat. As we grew, we kept the same idea at heart: a thoughtfully curated range that is easy to explore and suited to families’ real needs.

We select toys, books and accessories that we would choose for our own families. We consider material quality, usefulness and the overall experience, so that every product can naturally become part of play and everyday life.

In 2019, we began fitting out a larger space at 24 Mihai Eminescu Street, and the store opened in December 2020. The new space was designed so families could explore our products in a pleasant, relaxed setting.

In 2021, we launched the Carousel Oasis pilot project. The experience helped us test new ideas for organisation and presentation.

We put curiosity, play and trusted relationships with the families who choose us first.
