Many children dream of superheroes, attracted by their all kinds of unusual powers and their adventures full of action and suspense. But isn't there a superpower in the real world that everyone has, but that most of us, whether children or adults, forget about in our everyday lives? Thinking, the most impressive human ability, is our true superpower. And the most effective way to teach children to discover and use it is through questions, of any kind and however simple, about the most common things in the world around them.

In "Thoughts of a Frog", the well-known Japanese artist Kazuo Iwamura chose the technique of comics to invite children, with the help of two funny characters, a frog and a mouse, to ask themselves questions. The book can also be considered a short introduction to philosophy, for the little ones, but it is, in fact, an invitation to play — what can we do with our own mind, how far can we go?

Kazuo IWAMURA was born in Tokyo in 1939. He studied art and design and began his career as a graphic designer for children's shows on NHK, the Japanese television station. He also worked as a designer in a cosmetics company, after which he decided to become an author and illustrator of children's books.
